NEW CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKE
These optionally vegan pancakes couldn't be simpler. They're perfect for brunch with family and friends or great to make with kids too. Each mouthful has a pop of luxury dark chocolate chips and they are further drenched in a decadent chocolate sauce topping.
Add fresh summer fruits for added tartness to cut through the rich chocolate.
Empty the sachet of pancake mix into a bowl.
Slowly pour in 220ml of the milk and whisk simultaneously. You want a smooth batter with no lumps.
Open up one sachet of the chocolate drops and stir into the batter gently.
Heat a shallow frying pan and brush it with oil. Use 2 tbsp of batter to make each pancake, frying two at a time – any more will make it difficult to flip them.
Take the remaining sachet of chocolate and empty into a microwavable bowl or saucepan. Pour in 30ml of remaining milk and heat in the microwave for 15 second bursts until you have a smooth sauce. Alternatively you can heat in a saucepan over a gentle heat stiring until you have a smooth sauce.
Pour the sauce over the pancakes add fresh fruit if desired. Enjoy!
