How to Make Your Macarons Stand Out From the Crowd

I love making classic macarons, but sometimes I want to create something a little bit different from the ordinary plain, classic shell. Occasionally adding some sparkle or a hint of what is in the filling on the inside can be very effective decoration. As with cupcakes, adding a little je ne sais quoi to the top of can look great AND allows you to hide a multitude of sins. Time to get behind The World's Biggest Coffee Morning!

Today is a special and very important day. Today we raise a mug in honour of all those who have, are or ever will be affected by cancer. Today is the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning organised by Macmillan Cancer Support; and we’re all invited! In case you haven’t heard of this wonderful event, the World’s Biggest Coffee morning is pretty much exactly what it sounds like; a day where hundreds and thousands of people get together to have a cuppa tea and a slice of cake with friends, family, colleagues and sometimes even total strangers!
